Message Let me first say im far from expert level at working on a Z32. But i [ick things up pretty quick. I did my first 120k a month or so ago and have been pulling parts, painting and chroming since.
I spend roughly 20 minutes in the morning and 20 minutes at night everyday before my first job and after my second job and ive been getting a lot accomplished.
Mostly from this website and YouTube ive been able to plan my moves and execute to the best of my ability when i begin the job.
Unfortunatly im learning a bad habit i have which i need to eliminate immideiatly it TIGHTEN BOLTS, or double checking them, or thread locking them. Im not sure why im overlooking something like this.
Yesterday morning while driving i lost power steering.
I thought the belt snapped but being to tight, Turns out the bolt holding the power steering pully came loose.
Already in my head ive committed to
lifting the car, draining the coolant...cleaning up the coolant
Remove main pipes
disconnect lower shroud
remove upper shroud and radiator
remove fan and fan clutch,
Check power steering lines, just because ive read enough to realize this will always leak apparantly so i check every time, almost every time i open the hood.
then do the belt fix.

But with reading and already building the workflow in my head.
I was able to just remove the lower engine cover
Thread lock the bolt for the PS pully, use my right hand and a pry bar to nudge the power steering pump over and put the PS belt back on with my left. Retightened and done.

This motor is overwhelming to always have to reverse steps to access the next steps, but after 2 or 3 times its becoming extremely simple,
just have to remember to thread lock, tighten and double check bolts.
Maybe i should make a check list
